I love choice, I love options, and I get excited when one article can deliver the goods on that...
So when it came to designing the prints I decided I wanted to work on custom designs that used the same colour palette across the range to maximise the mix and match options.
I also decided reversible bikinis was where it's at!
So a fun fact.. using every piece in the reversible bikini range there are over 60 mix and match combos!! It's a tough decision for me each day I put a bikini on!
Custom designs meant that I would need to buy the plain fabric, and get the colours and designs printed onto it, for everything except the black. Being a sustainable swimwear label it is important to me that I look at each step of the process and consider the most eco friendly option when making decisions.
So the printing process used is sublimation (digital printing). The reasons for this choice?
1. Uses OEKO-TEX ink which is free of harmful chemicals
2. Waterless printing means no water waste, no drainage, no water pollution
3. It's energy efficient
4. Small minimum amounts are allowed, so it works with the slow fashion ethos
So when you are a wearing Yindi & Salt swimwear in the sun or the surf you can know that it has been created with the health on the planet in mind.
