Sustainability
Sustainability, and our impact on the environment is at the forefront of all of our decisions, from the fabric, the way we manufacture, to the packaging we use.
🐚 Eco-Friendly Fabric
Yindi & Salt swimwear is designed in Australia and ethically hand made in Bali using eco-friendly high quality Italian fabric. Made from ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon made from nylon waste otherwise polluting the Earth, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring, and industrial plastic.
This saves 70,000 barrels of crude oil for every 10,000 tonnes of fabric produced and avoids 57, 100 tonnes of CO2 eq. emissions, compared to traditional fabric. No waste, no new resources. Just bikinis for a cleaner ocean.
This recycled fabric is a buttery soft lycra, and twice as chlorine & sunscreen resistant compared to traditional swimwear fabrics. Is also longer lasting, so you can love your sustainable swimwear for longer, needing to replace them less often, further reducing waste.
As part of our sustainable approach, we operate as a 'slow fashion' brand. This means, to avoid unnecessary wastage we carry out small runs rather than mass production. We do endeavour to keep up with swift restocks, but there can sometimes be challenges to this, outside of our control. So get in quick while stocks last!

All packaging is plastic free, recyclable and/or compostable. From the mail bag, to the tape, the hang tag, to the hygiene sticker.
